On Jan. 10, 2002 21-year-old Taneka Butler was hanging out with friends outside a residence at 105 North Slocumb St. in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Around 3 a.m. two people began shooting. Witnesses stated that people ran, but unfortunately not everyone was unharmed.
Right after 3 a.m., the police arrived at the residence after a call of shots fired at the location. They found Taneka lying in the driveway dead from a gunshot wound. She left behind two young daughters.
Two men were charged with the crime, but they were later dismissed.
There is a Reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for Taneka's death.
