Murder of Carla Tucker

On June 19, 1979, the mother of 14-year-old Carla Tucker reported her missing. Carla had left her home on Elmwood St. in Detroit Michigan to go to the grocery store. When she didn't return home her mother reported her missing.

13 years later on Feb. 11, 1992, her body was found in a 55-gallon drum encased in concrete. She had been sexually assaulted and strangled. The drum was located in a landfill in New Boston, Michigan. She had remained a Jane Doe until Feb. 22, 2015, when her family submitted DNA.

Carla was described as a kind and gentle older sister. She was a quiet spirit who was also competitive as she ran track and was a spelling bee champion. Her family are searching for justice and a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
