Disappearance of Kevin Andrew Collins

On Feb. 10, 1984, 10-year-old Kevin Andrew Collins went to basketball practice. Around 6:40 p.m. he was last seen sitting at the bus stop on the corner of Oak St. and Masonic Ave. in San Fransico, California. The 4th grader was waiting for the bus. He was witnessed talking at the bus stop with a blonde man in his 20's or 30's and was around 6 ft tall. He accompanied with a large black dog.

It's possible he was abducted by two white men driving a four-door royal blue 1967 Ford Galaxy. It's never been confirmed that he went into this vehicle.

It isn't believed that Kevin had run away.

It could be possible that Kevin fell victim to Jon Dunkle, a serial killer who's got 3 confirmed murders. His three victims resembled Kevin and they were roughly the same age group. He was never charged in connection to this case.

Another possible suspect was Dan Leonard Therrien. He lived across the street from Kevin's school and had a history of sex crimes against children. He resembled the description given of the man talking to Kevin and at the time he owned a large black Doberman. He used several alias DOB and names including Raymond William Stewart, Kelly Lee Dawson, Kelly Sean Stewart, and Wayne D. Jackson. His actual birth name and age is unknown. He died in 2008.

He had given permission to the police to search his home, and it yielded nothing. It was unknown to the police at the time but he was wanted for kidnapping and sexually assaulting three  13-year-old boys. In 2013 renewed to the investigation and searched his former residence. All that came up was animal bones.

Kevin came from a big family. He was the 6th child of 10 in his Irish Catholic family.  There was also one foster child and one cousin living in their home on Sutter St.

Kevin is a white male and was 10 at the time. He 4'6" and 72 lbs. He has brown hair and grey eyes. He has a freckled complexion and a small horizontal scar on his tongue. Kevin has dyslexia. He was wearing a Giants jacket, his school uniform which was a short-sleeved dress shirt, green sweater, brown corduroy pants, and beige Nike sneakers.
