On October 3, 1976, the body of 20-year-old Gordon Olsen was found on the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River near 99 St. in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was initially believed that he fell down the 8ft embankment and got a head injury and died from exposure. Due to evidence found it's believed that he had been murdered.
A month prior to his death Gordon was released from a mental hospital he spent the previous 3 years in. He was placed in the mental hospital because he was found not criminally responsible for stabbing his father to death while high on acid.
