On October 4, 1994, While in Colorado Springs, Colorado 38-year-old, Gloria Berreth called her cousin at 6:30 a.m. She told her cousin that her ex-husband, Michael Berreth, had paged her and wanted to meet for breakfast at the Perkins Restaurant at Platte Ave. and Chelton Rd. Gloria would never be seen again. Michael stated that Gloria never arrived at the restaurant and he waited till 7 a.m. before he left. Gloria would also miss her shift that afternoon at the Peterson Air Force Base exchange. Weeks later her maroon and red four-door 1991 Ford Taurus was found abandoned at the Hancock Plaza shopping center.
Gloria and Michael had divorced in 1993 and Gloria had custody of their two children. Their relationship was not good and Gloria had a restraining order against him in which she claimed he violated twice in late spring of 1994.
In this time he had remarried and his then-wife (now divorced) claimed that the day Gloria went missing Michael was sweating profusely and appeared excited. Michael did not cooperate with law enforcement with his ex-wife's disappearance.
In 2005 there was a cleanup of evidence storage areas and Colorado Springs Police Department threw away evidence pertaining to Gloria's disappearance. Foul play is suspected in this case.
Gloria was 38-years-old at the time and is an Asian female. She's 5'0" to 5'2" and 115lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes. She has a scar on her abdomen. She was wearing a gold-colored watch and a cross necklace at the time.
