Monsters: Pugot

In the Ilocos region in the Philipines, there is a mythical being, the Pugot, that is the area. The Pugot (decapitated one) can assume many shapes such as hogs, dogs, humans, and etc, but typically they are seen as a black and gigantic headless being. It resides in dark places, deserted houses, and trees such as the duhat, santol, and tamarind. It has shapeshifting abilities and moves at great speeds. It feeds on snakes and insects found in trees. It eats through thrusting food into the neck stump.

Contradictory to its look it's relatively harmless. The creature however is fond of women's underwear is known to steal them from clotheslines.
