On the morning of October 10, 1974 55-year-old, John McGrath went to the Green Mountain Lunch on 22 Main St. in Winooski, Vermont. He managed the restaurant and was alone at the store that morning. People in the neighboring building stated they heard one gunshot around 7:30 a.m. A George Ladabouche went to the restaurant to investigate the sound. John was found lying next to the pool table in a puddle of blood. He had been shot. It's not stated whether or not the place had been robbed.
