Murder of Doris Shelley

In 1993 82-year-old Doris Shelley kept to herself and lived alone the small village of Martlesham Suffolk, England. She was a security-conscious after a previous robbery at the home and wouldn't leave her home. She had a number of people who would help take care of her.

Sometime between 2p.m 10 Feb. 1993 and 12:45 p.m. on the 11th, someone broke into her bungalow. They likely came through a bedroom window. During the burglary, Doris was attacked. She received blows to her head and was attacked with a blunt object, kicked and hit. She had £12,637 stolen from her.

A neighbor found her the next day in a confused state. She succumbed to her injuries and died 11 days later.
