Murder of Sonia Blanco and Evelyn Cruz

Evelyn Cruz                     Sonia Blanco

On Feb. 4, 1993, the bodies of 23-year-old Sonia Blanco and 26-year-old Evelyn Cruz were found minutes from each other. Shortly after 6 a.m. Sonia's body was located on 28 Dix Street and shortly after that Evelyn's was found on Summit Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. They seemed to have been killed and then thrown from a vehicle.

Both of them were manually strangled. The motive didn't seem to be sexual assault as they were still wearing their clothes. There was also no evidence of sexual violence. Both were well-known prostitutes in the area.
