Murder of James Dean Alderton

On Feb. 19, 1997, three hunters were hunting for mountain lions with a dog. They found the remains of 47-year-old James Alderton about four-tenths of a mile up Gilson Gulch, north of Idaho Springs, Colorado. Even though he was skeletalized it was found he had been shot to death.
