Febuarary 3, 2005 Berlin, Germany Baby Jane Doe

Around 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 3, 2005, a worker at the recycling center owned by Alba in 12623 Mahlsdorf, Hultschiner Damm 335 In Berlin, Germany found the body of an infant. It was determined that there was about 70 truckloads of recyclable waste delivered that day. 85% was from the entire city of Berlin and 5% from northern, southern, and eastern districts of Bradenburg. The other cargoes came from the districts of Güstrow in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Gifhorn in Lower Saxony and the city of Wolfsburg to Berlin.

The infant girl was found to have been born alive and was likely strangled a few minutes after birth. They then wrapped the baby in a towel and disposed of her. She was likely born in the 7th or 8th month of the pregnancy.

She was wrapped in a pink terry towel with a flower motif. It was 90 by 70 inches. The label had "Modische Frottierwäsche" in red yarn.
