Murder of Mary Beth "Pixie" Grismore


On Feb. 22, 1978, 26-year-old Mary Beth "Pixie" Grismore was reported missing from her home in Marshall, Indiana.  She had recently married and went back to her home in Indiana to gather the rest of her stuff for the final move. She and her husband lived in Iowa at the time.

On Feb. 21 she was hanging out with friends and her sister in Terre Haute. They watched a movie "Looking For Mr. Goodbar.". They went to red lobster and ended their night at the Bo Disco. They dropped off Pixie at her home around 1:30 a.m. They tried calling her the next morning, but there was no response. They went to check up on her, but she and her car were gone. On May 3rd police in Whitehall, Ohio was investigating an abandoned car at the Holiday Inn. Her death may have happened shortly after her disappearance. She had been strangled to death. Several leads were established, but there isn't enough information.
