Disappearance of Patricia Ann Spencer and Pamela Sue Hobley

 


On October 31, 1969, Patricia (Patty) Spencer and Pamela (Pam) Hobley disappeared from Oscoda, Michigan. The two girls skipped their afternoon classes at their school. Even though they had skipped they planned on going to the homecoming game and Halloween party that night. The girls were also not considered friends.

They walked down on River Rd. away from the school and towards the business district. It was known till 2013 that the two hitched a ride with a passing motorist and were dropped off at a gas station at River Rd. and Interstate 23. The motorist that was with them came forward in 2013 saying they had given the girls a ride, and he has been cleared as a suspect.

Neither girl was carrying their purses or I.D.'s

The girls were initially believed to have run away, but after a few weeks of no contact, police started to suspect foul play.


Patty was 16 at the time and is a white female. She's 5'3" to 5'4" and 120 lbs. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. She has a bite scar on one of her legs. She did wear glasses but did not take them with her when she disappeared. She was wearing a grey/green plaid jacket, a brown sweater, a matching brown tweed or plaid skirt, brown shoes with a thick heel and a silver necklace with a peace symbol pendant. 

Pam was 15-years-old at the time and a white female. She is 5'6" to 5'8" and 115lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes. a has a scar on the bridge of her nose and a scar or birthmark on the left corner of her mouth. She was wearing a white imitation fur coat with brown trim at a three-quarter-length, a long sleeve shirt with ruffled cuffs, a brown and white plaid skirt, white knee socks, and chunky shoes with a thick heel.
