On April 3, 1972 12-year-old Donald Caldwell ran away with 16-year-old Steven Soden. They ran away from a camping trip in Tuckerton, New Jersey they were on with their Paterson-based orphanage. Steven's remains were found in 2000 in Bass River Park not far from where the campsite was. It's possible that Donald had died also and may be located in Bass River Park near where Steven's remains were.
Donald was a 12-year-old African American child. He was 5'0" and 100 lbs. He had black hair and brown eyes.
