Murder of Alfonzo "Ace" Brown



April 19, 1992, was Easter Sunday and around 12:35 a.m shots were fired in a Greenville, South Carolina neighborhood. Unfortunately one of the bullets hit 14-year-old Alfonzo "Ace" Brown in the chest. He was found on a driveway on 705 Jenkins St. He was alive when help arrived, but unfortunately died. He was less than a block away from home.

Several shots were heard in the area. There were shell casings found in the roadway adjacent to Sallie's One Stop Grocery Store on Horton Street. According to one article, someone described it as "someone was shooting wild shots and he (Ace) caught one of the bullets".  This person is still unknown.
