Murder of Ronald Sam Rogers

On April 24, 1992, 26-year-old Ronald Rogers was last seen at a Dairy Queen near Truck Stops of America on Highway 290 and Interstate 85 in Duncan, South Carolina. He was talking with a man.

Around 1:40 a.m. on April 26, 1992, Ronald was found at the end of a cul-de-sac at an industrial park that located in a remote area near Duncan a half mile off of Highway 290. At the time of his death, the place he was found was a lovers lane.

He was found nude next to his red 1985 Chevrolet Camaro. He had been shot behind his left ear with a small-caliber gun. Some clothing was found at the scene. It may indicate that he may have had a sexual encounter with someone. It could be possible that it may have been with the man he was last seen talking to. It's unknown why he was murdered.

The backpack he always carried and his journal was never found. It could be possible that his journal may have evidence of who killed him.
